PRESCRIBING INFORMATION

Indications

  • Treatment of vaginitis caused by sensitive pathogens and nonspecific vaginitis.

Dosage

  • 1 vaginal tablet, once or twice daily for 10 consecutive days, in combination with oral treatment if necessary.

Usage

  • Vastad is for vaginal administration.
  • Moisten the tablet by dipping in water 5 to 10 seconds before the put.
  • Patients should remain lying down for 15 minutes after putting.
  • Known hypersensitivity to any ingredient in the formulation.
  • Vastad should not be used concurrently with disulfiram.
  • Nausea, vomiting, anorexia, abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, metallic taste.
  • Hypersensitivity reactions including dermatitis, pruritus, drug fever and anaphylaxis.
  • Should be treated partner, regardless of whether clinical signs.
  • Mild disulfiram-like reactions including flushing, headaches, nausea, vomiting, abdomical cramps and sweating have been reported.
  • Metronidazole can immobilize Treponema pallidum including the false positive reaction of Nelson test.
  • Nystatin may damage latex contraceptives.
  • Prolonged local use should be avoided.
  • Vastad should not be used during pregnancy. Avoid using Vastad during lactation.
  • Vastad may cause dizziness. Patients should born in mind this effect when driving or operating machines.
