Silymarin has been used for the treatment of hepatic disorders. In animals where it has been used for prevention of hepatic disorders, silymarin enhances the functions of peri- and intracellular structures of the hepatocyte, thereby resulting in activation of hepatic cell development and regeneration.

PRESCRIBING INFORMATION

Indications:

Add-treatment for digestive functional disorders relating to hepatopathies.

Dosage:

1 capsule x 2 – 3 times a day.

Usage:

Liverstad 140 is administered orally.

Known hypersensitive to any of the active substance or excipients.

Patients with hepatic encephalopathy, obstructive jaundice and primary biliary cirrhosis.

Gastralgias and diarrheas (very rarely). Infrequently allergic reactions.

Pregnancy and lactation.

Children: no toxicity has been reported.
