This medicine is active upon the return vascular system in the following ways: Reduction of venous distensibility and stasis and normalization of capillary permeability and increases capillary resistance in the microcirculation.

PRESCRIBING INFORMATION

Indications:

  • Treatment of symptoms related to venolymphatic insufficiency (heavy legs in the morning (due to vascular), pain).
  • Treatment of functional symptoms related to acute hemorrhoidal attack

Dosage:

  • Venous insufficiency: 2 tablets daily, one at midday and one in the evening.
  • Acute hemorrhoidal attack: 6 tablets daily for the first 4 days, followed by 4 tablets daily over the next 3 days.

Usage:

Diosmin 500 is administered orally at meal times.

Known hypersensitivity to any of the active substance or excipients.

Pregnancy and lactation.

Minor gastrointestinal and neurovegetative disorders.

Administration of this medicine is no substitute for the specific treatment of other anal disorders. The treatment must be short-term. If the symptoms do not disappear rapidly, proctological examination should be performed and the treatment reviewed.

Patients should be aware of how they react to drug before driving or operating machinery.
